Drive your Triumph Day - 10 February 2025
Despite a forecast of possible showers and very light drizzle at the “starting grid” at Maca’s carpark
at EPIC, the weather cleared and we were treated to a fine day for the annual Drive Your Triumph
Day lunch run. A convoy of nine Triumphs, two Stags, two 2500TC saloons, two TR4s, a TR3A, a
12/50 Herald and a 3900 V8 estate headed out along the Federal Highway, Macs Reef Road and
Bungendore Road to the Café Woodworks at Bungendore. The fleet also included a classic V8
Holden and one modern.
Seventeen participants settled in to a most enjoyable lunch and chat in the café. The table service
and food were up to the high standard we’ve come to expect from this popular lunch venue. A few
took the opportunity to admire the fine woodworking skills of local craftsmen and women on
display in the adjoining gallery. The challenge is to keep your credit card in your wallet; fine
woodwork doesn’t come cheap!
Check out the photos of Triumphs with their owners/drivers along with photos of happy diners
