Break the Ice Breakfast Run - Casuarina Sands - 20 July 2025

This day saw the usual Triumph faithfuls turn up for our annual Break the Ice BBQ
trailer event. Unfortunately, even with a minus 5 morning, we had no ice to break
except that brought by El Presidente from his freezer.

Perfect weather for this time of year and a longer round trip via Uriarra Crossing and
back to Casuarina Sands picnic ground developed the appetites for our usual
healthy(ish) breakfast. Luckily the two organisers had forgotten the terribly unhealthy
sauces for the BBQ. Many commented on this, obviously grateful for our forcing the
healthy option!

Choice of classic vehicle was even wider than usual, VW Beetle, Land Rover, Jag
XJS, TR3A, TR4, Herald, 2500 sedan, 2500 competition sedan, Stag, a brace of
Dolomites (2), and a scattering of moderns. The sprinting ability of Rose Langford
and the pursuit response of her parents is also worth a mention. Together with our
newest associate member Alexander attending, this made for a new record of 25
attendees, and also lowered the age demographic greatly.
