Drive your Triumph Day 2023

Friday, 10 February 2023 11:00 am

This is an opportunity to join with Triumph enthusiasts around the world and take your Triumph for a run to celebrate Sir John Black’s birthday (John Black saved Triumph from folding way back in 1949).

Meet at 11.00 am at the Denman Village shops, corner of Holborow Ave & Felstead Vista, Denman Prospect, for a scenic drive along Uriarra Road, Brindabella Road, Paddy's River Road, Tidbinbilla Road and Tharwa Drive, finishing at Lanyon Homestead for lunch at “The Barracks”.

If wet weather or poor road conditions prevail, we’ll take a shorter route via Cotter Road.

Rick will need to confirm numbers with The Barracks well in advance, so please let him know no later than Monday evening 6 February 2023 if you plan to join us for lunch.

Wheels of Wamboin

Saturday, 15 April 2023 9:00 am

The event runs from 9.00am to 1.00pm (in conjunction with Home Produce Markets) at the Wamboin Hall, 112 Bingley Way in Wamboin.

As usual, the day is for all autos great and small, everyone and every marque and every year and every condition is welcome.

The day is about the automobile, reminiscing, admiring and chatting in a friendly casual country environment.  This year there will be no election, so the market stalls will be in the hall and should free up parking for the display of vehicles.

Last year was a bumper year with over 400 automotive marvels in attendance.

There will be a BBQ, home produce market stalls, Landcare native trees and plant stall, Contentious Character Winery stall (great local wine), coffee cart and JBS collectables will be attending again with signs and auto collectables (see their Facebook page for details) to deck out your autocave.  There will also be an ATM in attendance.

The event is supported by Shannon’s Insurance.

Cars in from 7.30am (get in early to avoid the entry queue) and entry is just a gold coin.

Only one trophy on the day for People's Choice (yes voting by the public is back).  Check out our Facebook page albums for some pictures of past events to get an idea of the variety of vehicles on offer.

For more details and updates see the Wheels of Wamboin Facebook page.
